OREGANO HONEY LEMON GINGER TEA

(when you want to clear things out, body and mind)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tsp dried oregano - (I usually make 3 cups worth to drink for later - so i had about 3 tablespoons of oregano.)

  • 1 inch fresh ginger, sliced (or 1 tbs ground ginger)

  • 1–2 tsp raw honey (adjust to taste)

  • Juice of ½ a lemon - a little tip is once i squeeze the lemon juice in, i will throw in the squeezed lemon so it can cook with all my ingredients.

  • 4 cups water

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

  2. Add ginger and dried oregano.

  3. Let it simmer for 7–10 minutes (cover it if you can to keep the oils in).

  4. Strain into a mug.

  5. Add lemon juice and stir in the honey gently. I also like to put 2 lime slices in mine.

  6. Sip slowly. Let it move through your sinuses, chest, belly. You might sweat a little. That’s good.

WHY IT WORKS

  • OREGANO: clears the lungs, kills bacteria and viruses, helps the body release

  • GINGER: warms and activates the system

  • LEMON: cuts through heaviness, wakes up your cells

  • HONEY: coats and nourishes while the rest clears

  • LIME: It’s cleansing, astringent, and wakes up the system. When added to this tea, it amplifies the clearing, cutting, and detoxifying power. It's especially helpful when you're feeling heavy, fogged up, or emotionally congested. This one is a ritual. Take it when you're coming down with something, releasing something heavy, or just want to feel lighter.
