When an unresolved relational wound repeats through different people who carry the emotional weight of the original figure. If the relationship is a familial (husband/wife/children) relationship, this is another version of “learned behavior” (aka: emotional script). The relationship may change, but the emotional dynamic returns until the imprint is understood and interrupted.
