HELLO, MY LOVES!

Welcome. I am grateful you are here. Writing has always been the way I give shape to what lives inside me, and through it I invite you into the worlds I create. My work stretches across two homes. NOVA NOIR is where I write dark romance stories that dive into love, desire, and power in all their complicated forms. THE LANGUAGE ARCHIVE is where I hold my journals and nonfiction books that are spaces for reflection, truth telling, and the kind of writing that helps us meet ourselves more fully.

No matter which door you walk through, my hope is that you feel both invited and accompanied. What I write begins with me, but it is complete only when it reaches you. Thank you for reading, for entering these pages, and for letting my voice share a small part of your journey.

With love always,

Ericka xoxo

MY CREATIVE SANCTUARY

Every author has a sanctuary, and mine feels like a cozy refuge tucked inside the flow of my day. I like to begin with a morning walk or a somatic workout, letting my body wake before I settle into a short meditation. Once I’ve caught up with emails and the world beyond my door, I return to myself with a steaming cup of spiced coffee in hand. This is when I curl into my softly lit space with my pen and macbook waiting, and let the quiet carry me into whatever words are ready to arrive.

Some mornings I am writing fiction that dives into darker worlds of love and power, other days I am shaping journals that help us uncover what lives within, and often I am creating nonfiction that holds truth and reflection. Each form has its own voice, yet they all begin here in the same simple practices that open the door for me to write. When you step into my work, you’re stepping into my room with me, welcomed as if we are sitting together sharing warmth and story side by side.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME AN AUTHOR?

I have always carried writing inside me, but in 2024 I turned to it as a way to heal during one of the hardest seasons of my life. Writing my first NOVA NOIR story became a place of release and restoration, and once that door opened, I never stopped. From there came my journals, my nonfiction books for DVN THEREPE, and even works that speak to culture and society. Each piece has been both a witness and a healer for me.

HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH IDEAS FOR YOUR BOOKS AND JOURNALS?

Honestly, I don’t always know. It feels as if the ideas are already within me and I simply reach in and pull them out. Staying connected to wellness in my daily life helps keep me open and creative, and that flow makes it easier for the words to come. My journals and nonfiction are often shaped by my personal life and the stories of the clients I work with within DVN THEREPE. My NOVA NOIR romances usually arrive almost fully formed, but I also pull from real life experiences, because drawing from what I’ve lived makes the love stories more vivid and real on the page.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE PEOPLE TAKE AWAY FROM YOUR WORK?

More than anything, I hope readers feel both seen and expanded. Whether you are inside the dark romance worlds of NOVA NOIR, reflecting through the pages of a journal, or reading one of my nonfiction books, my wish is that you discover a piece of yourself and leave with a sense of possibility, healing, or deeper truth.
